“when you were growing inside my tummy, i ate lots and lots of these little oranges. i always love getting them every year now, because it reminds me of when you were in there.”
“yeah! when i was in your tummy and you would eat the little oranges, it made me want to hatch out!”
silence, chewing, surrounded by the fragrant zest of clementine filling the air around us.
“when i was in your tummy, i loved swimming all around.”
more chewing.
“when i was in your tummy, i just loved hearing kitty purring!”
i used to joke that kitty was “incubating her egg” when she would sit on my pregnant tummy. ahh, memories.
Hello, Mary Beth,
I linked here via Stacy's blog (Mama-OM.) How nice to find you. We are unschoolers too and practice just about everything else you claim in your header. Sadly, no big bodies of water near us though. How I would love that. We are in SW Ontario. Looking forward to browsing back through your blog. It looks really lovely. Happy Holidays. Debbie
