I'm not even sure how I found your blog, but I wanted to say, wow! and cool!
We're fellow unschoolers. 🙂 My boys are 5.75 and 2.
We're considering a move to the OR coast for a job (in Astoria). Despite much poking around on the interwebs, I'm finding very little relating to homeschooling in the North Coast area, so I'm resorting to asking radom people for information. 🙂 I'm not sure where you are on the coast, but if you have any info on unschooling, homeschooling or anything related on the North Coast, I'd love to know about it. hi chessa! welcome! i would love to say that there is a huge happenin' community of unschoolers around here, but it is better described as small and difficult to tap into. 🙂 i have found a few people (mostly via the farmer's market- you know how you can just sort of spot those crazy homeschool types by the clothes they wear and what they shop for- joke- but seriously the farmers market is where i met all my local hs mamas, as random as that sounds). since we are more central coast-ish, and since i rarely get up the north coast way, i'm afraid i have little to offer, but i am happy to share my experiences. 🙂 i hope you find just the perfect community that you are seeking there in astoria!
