red: this bush is so fascinating to me, and i still don’t know what it is. it is ever so popular with the bees in the summertime, and in the fall revolves through several brilliant shades.
orange: on thursday i brought a velociraptor to school for show-and-tell.
yellow: a recent acquisition from a friend who is moving away.
green: one of the ents guarding our home.
blue: drawing the third image (the pumpkin, rotted) for his triptych for art class.
purple: blackberry vines becoming a deep burgundy as the weather shifts.

i LOVE the Velociraptor! So creative 🙂
thanks! though i should not have misled you by saying i brought him for show and tell, he made it all himself, and was his idea. he saw the idea for the box head and the kitchen gloves for feet (to which he adhered toe claws) and we found a cheap pair of gloves, sewed fingers together so the hands had only 3 each, and added claws there, too. the tail was pillow wrap (the book suggested bubble wrap but it’s what we had) and covered with tissue paper… not durable, but fun and bulky while it lasted! 🙂
Hello, I love your Monday post. Can you tell us more about the ents tree? It is so magnificently huge! Is it on your property and are there more? Have a glorious week. Love Katie x
yes and yes! we have lots of ents guarding our house, we are nestled right in a forest of these giants. 🙂
